Does anyone?

Yeah me. drive it till its empty and fill it up again

Think its about £90 for a full tank now. Filled the BM up yesterday and that was £87 :asshole:

Me too - you're going to use the fuel anyway so why not fill it to the brim each time?

It just saves you re-fuelling more often!!

I've not quite managed to get over the £100 mark with the ZX yet - but I have seen £107 a few times in the SLK. Although that gets me almost 400 miles compared to around 290 in the ZX....:whistling:

Richard:wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Is it your daily? Mine is purely for pleasure, I use my van for work. That is rubbish on fuel too! At least my Slicky gives a massive Smiles Per Gallon :tongue_smilie:

Well, We've got mine, which isn't used all the time, Then there's Jan's NA and then there's the Meriva so it depends on what needs doing to either zed to drop at Zedworld or for economy use the Meriva !

Funny thing is that the TT and NA both return abbout the same mpg on a run that long.....

I'm hoping after a few tweaks my mpg will improve on my homeward journey. Either way i'm glad to finally be getting the Zedworld once over :cool3:

Its not the size of the tanks that are different, its the fuel gauge is bloody awful! I can only get about 75 in mine from the light, i know there is loads left in there but I just hate driving anything on the fuel light! Makes me nervous lol.

I drove round in my old BMW for a year with the fuel guage not working! lol...not once did I run out and did about 300 miles a week on average and must have been lucky!

I have heard that on more than one occasion too mate!

Theres no piont filling the car if ots not getting alot of use as the octane level in fuel drops as it gets older so your 98.6 ron v power will be 95 ron or less if left sitting for months.

Also there is a bit of a last min warning before they run out, i took mine for a spin when i knew it was very low, when it started to stuggle at 3000 rpm and would go no higher, i managed to nurse it with gentle driving below 2000 rpm the mile or two to the patrol station.

I class the zed as economical after running to work and back for a week in the mrs rx7, cos its only 1.5 miles to work it barely gets warm and returns me a mere 5.65 mpg, the very worst ive had out of the zed on this run is 12mpg, that said ive had the zed up in the mid 30s on a long gentle run to the brighton meet in 2003. Take the rx7 for a run and you may get near 20mpg if you can resist the loud pedal which is very hard to do!

250 miles and counting. This is unheard of territory for my Zed!!

i can get 400 miles to a tank. if its all motorway driving at 60. but i can do it:)

That's pretty impressive mate - the most I have squeezed from a tank was just about 300 miles.....

.....on a run from Cumbria to home. I was driving a "little" bit quicker than 60mph though.......:innocent:

LOL - that might do it mate....

...but where's the fun in that? I don't know about everyone else, but I didn't buy a 3.0 twin turbo for its economy!!!

me eiter richard. put nealy £200 of fuel in a week on mine :-)

i managed to get 340, as the fuel light comes on when going from oxford to telford, and back.. but when going round town it nearly halfs, whilst driving sensibly also.

Whereabouts in telford are you mate?......im in ketley :)

I think they are good on Fuel. Mine is a TT so im not complaining.

If I brake hard enough I have a full tank. - Its about £90 quid for me too.

Z gone in for brake pads and a rev hunting issue. Got some lights off ebay the other day standard as mine are cracked so these ones will make an good improvement. I just hope I can take it out if I can afford to after the repair. Dreading the cost. I was told it would be sorted last time it went in. But not quite. But a big improvement

Oh god, is this old chestnut still going lol.

My petrol is ridiculous with the air leak I've got somewhere at the back of the block. Fortunately not driving it some much at the moment, took it out today to remind myself I love it.
