As i burst my second braided hose last week (and z centre are taking the piss sending me a new one) I have being thinking about changing the layout. I have a single hose from the master to the slave and unfortunately it is running dangerously close to the exhaust/turbo's. I know there is a few bits "trunking" to run the hose through to keep it away, but i still think it's a pretty shit system. My initial idea was to somehow get a longer hose and reroute it a completely different way, however i came to the conclusion that it would have to be custom made and may well be more chew than its worth. So after speaking to the ever helpful zedworld team, the idea was put in my head of making a hose out of brake pipe or something similar, a solid metal pipe that would hopefully never burst. just wondering if anyone has ever tried this, or if anyone has found a better solution, or if anyone just has any thoughts on the idea.

How are you running the cable as I've not had probs on my previous zeds with braided lines bursting???

This will work, just cut the ferrules off your old pipes that go into the master and slave, work out the amount of pipe you need and get the ends flared.Old style autoshops will do this for a few quid.Or offer a garage guy a drink to do it for you.

i can't remember exactly how it was ran last time, but i think it was just taken off the master and then threaded down the gap next to the turbo's and cable tied to the body to keep it away. couldn't see any other route for it to take with the limeted space we had. it was done on the road outside my house with nothing more than a jack and a couple of bricks to raise it up. I reckon its gunna be a similar rushed job this time too when the new hose finally arrives. but then hopefully in the not too distant future i'll get my mate to put it up on his lift and then have a go at making a solid pipe.

It's been nearly a week since the new hose was ordered, was hoping it would be here on saturday, i've ordered some bits from ebay since ordering the hose and they've allready arrived.

well finally got the new hose fitted on Friday, and hopefully it's a good enough distance to keep it cool enough. looked again at the idea of a solid pipe, and drew the conclusion that there would need to be a bit of flex otherwise the movement of the engine could then cause a problem. but hopefully i shouldn't have to change it again anyway.
