SORN'd :o(

Had to bite the bullet today and SORN the Z :(

Other things have got to take priority for a little while, and work has been slack this year so I've chosen to tuck her up for the winter. On the plus side, hopefully it will be going into my mate's workshop over the colder months so we can do a bit of welding, a bit of fettling (a nice local chappy is going to make a one piece prop for me ;)) and perhaps a little spraying and wrapping :shuriken:

Might see if I can get hold of some old rwd shitter to play with on the winter roads in the meantime :clown:

What were you thinking of wrapping?

Bonnet, nose panel and roof bars at this stage, and if I get on well with it maybe a full body wrap - we'll see :). It's something I've wanted to learn for a while since I heard a few pros say it's pretty difficult (cue Top Gear quote - "How hard can it be?!").

If all goes well, maybe next year I would hope to offer a wrapping service alongside my detailing work, fingers crossed.

ive seen the pros do it at the NEC, they did a maseratti and it took the 4 attempt to get the shape of the front wing right without any little bubbles etc. so i would say its tricky.

plenty of heat is the key :)

Good luck mate and another Top Gear quote that might come in handy is "have you got a hammer"

Back to SORNs, mines been sorned since January, but having said that it hadnt seen the road since about October last year, the mot ran out a few weeks ago, keep meaning to pop her down the road and get her a new ticket, that way i can still tax her online and pull her out should the need arise.

Sorry to hear that Peach:crying:

Especially with the fine "Indian summer" we're having at the mo....

But I can understand your reasons - and I'm sure you'll have it back on the road in a much improved state in 6 months!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
