Need to get my Z back on the road for next summer so looking around for a trimmer. How much are decent cow hides as one guy I met last week reckoned he would need £1500 up front to cover the cost of materials

Apart from the hides, replacement foam and thread, I can't see any other materials or am I missing something????

Well...The full leather kit I purchased from america, consisting of Front and rear seats was only £500, cut and stitched as a perfect fit, with foam padding and everything you need.

A typical UK trimmer will charge £1k-1.5k , but the vast majority of that is Labour, not materials. Its a lot of work to custom trim from scratch.

Just get the kit from america, think mine was about £250 and i got extra leather to do all the door cards etc :)

I want th whole interior done including dash and roof so know it'll be pricey. I just can't see how they justify that much money up front unless they cover themselves if I'm not happy and they've still made money
