what do u reckon then mate uprated springs and dampeners? got tein coilovers on my scoob and very hard like lol

Depends on budget mate! Coilovers are now better value than shocks and springs! I'm a coilover kinda guy thru and thru but i do track stuff

My rear shocks were kaput when I purchased the Zed, was getting wheel tramp during hard acceleration on broken asphalt. Got Jeff to fit a new set (for a pretty reasonable price too) and all was well again. I think the Zed is plenty firm enough for normal fast-road use, if you intend to spend a lot of time on track then yes, coil overs are the way to go. I use my Zed as a GT though, so I value ride comfort just as much as out right performance. Once I've finished the engine upgrades (or possibly before) I intend to fit a set of Eibach lowering springs (-25mm approx), which should give the more appealing aesthetics without destroying the ride quality.

I know a lot of people have coil overs on here and I've fitted them to my own cars in the past, but now I really wouldn't bother - maybe that's a sign I'm getting old!

cheers lads, I know what you mean about the coilovers and I dont plan on putting on the track so probs just get some springs and dampeners when I am ready :-)

My Zed has coilovers, but have always shyed away from putting them on my daily cars, 'cos eibach springs and standard dampers have always seemed the best compromise for daily driving on cr4ppy british roads!

coilovers with adjustable dampers are the best. still really comfy but have much better road holding.
