4th gear

when I start to push the zed it always seems to crunch into 4th gear. All the other gears appear fine.

Any thoughts of what it might be and were to start checking?

Cheers

So by that, I assume, when you are driving normally it's OK? Does it do it most going from 5th - 4th or 3rd - 4th or both? I don't know what difference it makes, but it may be useful.

Also, when you say pushing it, do you mean changing gear at higher revs - and what kinda revs we talking about?

Spirited or quick changes will show out any wear and tear in the gearbox synchro`s you could try changing the oil, the drain plug is magnetic and you will be surprised by how much metal bits will be on it. Some guys have changed the oil for thinner type such as Redline, however its just a stay of execution as wear and tear is the main issue.

Thanks Jeff,

It is spirited changes, 4000 revs + going up from 3rd to 4th...

Yes I know you just cannnot help your self though when the revs are just right and the road is just right and that sweet spot on the engine is there......
