Is it me or generally a guy thing that shiney car bits like this look so lush... such a shame they have to reside in the crap the roads chuck up, of course not from a zed, in fact they are S14, weirdly they even had a nice smell....oh did I say that out loud?

Cannot knock the quality of some of the stuff coming out of China these days!

Isn't that a set of the old Apex Performance coilovers that they used to sell before they switched to selling BC Racing?

They are Apex Performance ones which appear to be the exact same unbranded one`s on E-bay but with an Apex sticker added?? allegedly.

Yeah I thought they were

I ordered a set of these off Apex Performance back in '08. I really wanted them but it took over 6 weeks for them to arrive and when I opened the box they were black and gold Gen 1 BC Racing which looked pretty shoddy quality.

I sent the BC set back and got a refund. Funny old thing, the BC coilovers got a revamp shortly afterwards.

Now I understand that BC Racing make pretty good track proven coilovers after a fair bit of R&D gained from several years of various levels of drifting and track use. Their coilovers are now supposed to be paired and balanced at the factory.

The first lot were pretty bad though.

i used to have a set of those on my s14, they worked well, but need the right springs on them, the 10/8s were way too stiff

Yeah i think there all the same, just with differant names on.

Ive got the BC ones/apexi and there spot on quality just the same as jeffs :)

Meister/bc/hsd/apex all basically the samexwith slightly different springs

this is most certainly not true.

I've run Apex gen 2 coilovers on my s14 with no probs and for the discounted price I paid for them through the SXOC group buys you cant really fault them.......

Got these on my s14a. These plus polybushed everything makes the ride only good for drifting - that's my excuse anyway ;)
