May 15, 200223 yr i'm gonna install a few gauges(boost,oil maybe water) just been looking at which ones to buy,and autometer have been recemended(mechanical) ive had a good look and i like the look of the digital ones(s,p,a design) is 1 type better than the other or are they all the same,are the digital ones harder to install or are they all the same, anyh help and advice(pro's and cons) on installing boost .oil and water gauges would be much appreciated. thanks jay
May 19, 200223 yr Installing would be about the same but digital gauges are more difficult to read. With a mechanical gauge you can see the reading in a flash without the need of actually 'reading' the gauge. This is especialy important for a turboboost gauge because if something happens here, it happens faster than you can read the numbers. This is why most car manufacturers still use the classical gauges instead of the digital ones. But I must admit that they look interresting..
