what is it that you don't like about the K&N ?

a real dual intake/cone setup is very costly and overkill (IMO) on stock injectors and turbos.

That depends on whether you have K&N panels within the std airbox or a K&N filter to replace it. I found that K&N panels gave a slight improvement in economy, but that could have been down the the original filters being filthy.

1 good thing i can say about my k&n is ive had it in the car for 4 yrs and it still looks new,

think my expectations were too high when i bought it,cost me just under £200(1st induction kit) and for some reason i thought my car was gonna sound bad.

guess i should of bought an exhaust .lol

I've got the twin one from SE. Very pleased with it.

grant is it the paper 1 that cost £300

if it is have you seen the thread on it on here somewhere.... didnt sound so good when uve read that thread.

if its different to that 1(which i hope it is)

what difference has it made that uve noticed?

Yes, both Grant and myself have the same one, and it's £200 not £300.

An alternative view - if your filter looks like new after 4 years, then WTF is it actually filtering ? A filter that gets dirty and looks crap is doing it's job.

Notwithstanding that, I found my K&N to be equally as good as the (£200) SE setup power-wise. I personally don't believe it's filtration was as good as SE though. But that would be logical - SE has much greater filtration area but no power advantage - that implies better filtration.
