Had my garage broken into. They took my specialized hardrock sport plus my daughters bike :censored::censored::censored:

Luckily the Z was not in the garage. Going to beef up all the security in general

and may even cover the pit as a kind of booby trap if they manage to get in again. They walked past everything else in the garage to take the bikes.

Has wound me up as keep waking up now and having to check. Never had a break in before.

That's shit news mate. Someone tried to break into our house at 2pm on a sunny afternoon, by kicking the door down (subtle, eh?). SO I spent a grand on some high quality CCTV gear that glows bright red a night. Not had anymore trouble since then.

 

Try not to get mad though mate, put it down to one of life's learning experiences and be glad it was only your bikes they took (even if they were worth a bit). No point stressing about the scum walking the streets today (not unless you plan on getting even, mwuhahahahah :devil:).

I am seriously considering some sort of cctv . Looks like you can get quite allot for your money. Bit worried as the packaging for my nice tv was sitting in the garage :oops:

All you need is a visual deterrent. Most theiving chav scum will just look for an easier target if they see a camera watching them. I got the biggest ones I could, the camera itself is pretty much the same size as a little camcorder one, but the box is big and empty - highly visible though. I also have two 'secret cameras' just incase someone does decide to have a go. Its all recorded onto a secure hard drive and viewable on the net also. Piece of mind.
