2996 people lost their lives,19 of these were hijackers and terrorists,

I still remember the day vividly. Me and my dad were playing golf on a lovely sunny day. When we got to the club house, the first plane had already hit. It still wasn't clear what was happening - then as we stood there the second plane hit. I don't think anyone said anything for about 30 seconds.

 

What it must have been like on those planes or in those buildings is unimaginable. RIP to those innocent and brave souls who lost their lives.

I remember it well too, I was working from home and it came on TV, and i was updating my work collegues in America on what was going on as they didnt have access to the live TV coverage.

 

The really sad thing is the collegue I was talking to at the time was the Sister of Todd Beamer on Flight 93, who attempted to take the plane back from the Hijackers and is famous for the last words heard on the phone just before it went down..."Lets Roll". :(

I was in the A&E of out local hospital watching on the TV surrounded by nurses and doctors. Was waiting on the wife coming out as she had just fooked her ankle ! Couldnt believe what we were watching !:closedeyes:

 

As the time has passed, the Americans have looked at it in their own way, much thanks to Jeff Dunham and Walter,for his take on suicide bombers !
