hello everyone. I am from lithuanian and i do very big project. I want put vg30dett engine in bmw e30. i find this forum because, I dont have information about this engine. how many hp I can do with ms2 compiuter with stock engine? I want to know about peformance parts? I want do about 600hp.and i dont have infmation what to do, what engine pats buy.... maybe you can help me? thanyou for yours answers:smartass:

i assume by ms2 you mean mega squirt, i dont know if anyone on here is running it but i know a bit about it from other projects ive done. the last time i looked into it most nissan engines are a bit tricky due to the cam position sensor, i think most people would not use it and fit an alternative system to the crank pulley. there is no reason why you could not use the original ecu or perhaps the emerald system which has recently been developed.

 

the vg30dett is as tunable engine as the sr20, rb26 or 2jz but the main problem is the size issue, unless there is alot of room width wise across the engine bay you will struggle with the turbos.

 

at this power level you would need to replace the pistons at least and most would advise replacing the rods too although the std ones are forged. alot of the American companies like z1 can do engine build kits and turbo kits for this power level.

 

to be honest though i would have thought it would be easyer to fit a 2jz, rb26 or even a 1jz or rb25 as they are a straight 6 like was originally fitted to the bmw.

ok I understand everthing but first I will change jet 888cc and turbo. but I dont uderstant a little bit. performance parts ar same? sr rb or zj?or diferent? exactly piston and connecting-rod ? besauce maybe i change it and i dont have information about it. ok if I change jet and turbo , big ic 2in 2out, ms2 with oil pack system,but engine inside stock , can I do 500hp????

head gaskets , original are metal? pistons original forged or no?

everything but the pistons is forged, in the bottom end of the engine. have a look at websites of these comapnies.

may also be worth looking at martins page, he has just finished a car with a huge spec, bobgiene has also just completed a car with a spec around, the mid 600 horse power figures. its a very big project i wish you the best with it.

personally i would push you away from the e30 shell, why not get a zed with the engine in it to start with, and all the running gera to match and looks to die for.

head gaskets , original are metal? pistons original forged or no?

 

you will need forged pistons for definite if you want over 500bhp. If you change the pistons then you should fit Cometic head gaskets which are metal.

 

For what you will need to spend to get 500+ bhp it would be far cheaper to tune a bmw straight 6. I've seen the old M5 straight 6's pushing more than 700bhp with a turbo.

 

I really wouldn't bother fitting a VG30DETT into anything. Its bad enough in the zed, why on earth you would want to put it in something else is a mystery. There are much better engines available.

thax of this information. stoker engine 500bhp end yes? but if I want do this bhp i must change fuel injectors? because i read stoker injector are 370cc yes?

You will need 650cc injectors or higher if you wish to achieve solid 500bhp.

 

Either AEM or Emerald ECU management system too.

You need a Turbo of T28 in size or bigger. These will have a 5 bolt design to connect to the downpipes.

Z1 motorsports do a good one called the GTR675

 

Standard 300zx turbo is a TB22 similar design and size to a T25 and is a 4 bolt design for the down pipes.
