Hi peeps, finally after a year off the road my rebuild is coming to an end.

This list is the stuff I have spend out on the new engine to be swapped for my old overheating lump.

Could someone with real knowledge please give me an overall spec for this list and give advice on a decent tuning company to get the most bhp without leaning out on stock internals.

Thanks.

A few pics of the original buy, plus all the new stuff done at the end of the list. Hope you enjoy as much as I have putting money into this beast. =0]

That looks fookin awesome mate, now shift that shoddy engine block out the way so we can see it properly! MMMmmm Escort Cossie

Well done on the engine rebuild - can't offer any advíce, but I think a few peopl on the forum should be able to help.

Good luck bud

You wouldn't do better than to get it up to Zedworld in Coleshill and let Jeff and Jamie work their magic on it whilst Lynda keeps you fed and watered. If you're thinking about Chipping and Mapping then I would talk to John Dixon...... Looks like a good engine you've got built and all the best with it

Have a read through Yassa's thread. He was very pleased with this company from Darn Sarf.. (you southern monkies). He is also running stock internals too. So this shoulb be very representative - irrespective of if you believe the dyno was accurate etc, etc.

Maybe drop him a PM.

Try and avoid letting them fit the piggy-back board though, from what I could gather they do it the expensive way, there is a much cheaper alternative available.

HTH - Cheers

With the mods youve done custom mapping would be a bit overkill.A generic chip would be fine.Did you not consider putting new rings in and bearings whilst it was apart ?

Ok boys, all good advise, thanks.

Jimmer... I think I would of done if the milage was higher than 25k, was it a bad move no to?

Looking at the pistons and bores im not being horrid mate but id be amazed if that had done only 25k !!

Hmmm, so what are you trying to say?

I shouldn't bother going for more power even though all the bits are uprated, new and all seals/gaskets are changed?

It was sitting 3 years the lump if that helps?

Jimmer, are they standard or uprated pistons in there?

Leo, contacted Steve and he said the following...

Will email Mr. Dixon next, see what he says.

Anthony to get the power up to a safe and comfortable 350-380hp you would DEFINITELY need to modify the ECU and fit a boost controller.. id recommend a decent electronic boost controller, which I suppy for 200 + fitting And FCTuning Nistune ECU Solution - 450 supplied fitted and mapped + dyno time* the fitting of the boost ontroller takes around*1/5-2 hours on a 300zx , your alternative is to fit a Turbosmart bleed valve but I dont recommend it really as they are a little crude.. .. having the electronic controller will give you 4 settings.. The ecu's I do on an exchange basis (as I pre prep them saving time on fitting and I always have them read), so that takes around 10-15mins to fit.. the engine is then live mapped on the dyno whilst you watch the power rise.. a little like this, but the is taking things to the next level ;) when would you want the tuning done ?* http://fctuning.com/fctwp/?p=1894 Regards Steve SadlerFCTUNINGengine management tuning solutions
