Thanks ... that 'Z' was a pain to do. It started life as bits of cardboard stuck on with wood glue lol. I also discovered the dremel with a sanding attachment is my best friend at getting rid of unwanted plastic features (like the moulding for the clock).

Funny enough, the clock/Z was easier than sorting the stereo surround, especially since if I was bothering, the fascia surround had to go on.

The bit I am really annoyed at is the laquer - It got 3/4 of a huge tin of laquer spray can on it, and when I rubbed it down it went through the laquer like butter and hasnt built up half as good as it should have. Halfrauds is so bad now. I REALLY need a compressor and spay gear again... and a bigger garage.

 

get some 2k lacquer from ebay, much better than the 1k stuff they do in halfrauds.

Mind you, he did leave a HOOOOOGE oil patch on the garage floor so maybe I should learn to do that myself from now on aswell!
