Front 2 injectors not working???

Finally after a year engines in all fitted looks very pretty even turned over first time. YAY!!!!!

 

However front 2 injectors wont fire??

 

Checked coil packs there working fine, havent tested power yet as it was getting dark but wondered is there any common fault or newbie mistake ive made fitting that would cause only the front 2 injectors not to fire??

Hey fella, Id love to take you up on that, unfortunately my money is very limited until payday again on the 23rd so can really afford it :( although when payday comes round I might take you up on that offer if its still available.

No problem mate just pm me anytime, If i wasnt so skint at the moment would have paid the fuel myself and sorted it out with you,

but i just aint got it,

 

Worked on a few zeds too, manual conversions, turbos both sides with the engine still in, rebuilt mine from bare shell, so not to bad with a zed,

 

May have a spare cas in garage too, have a look in the morning but im sure i left it on my old engine, if i have one just cover the postage and you can have it.

 

Was so exited to get it started again ended up scrapping old engine and even forgot to take 555 injectors out remembered about a month later, gutted. lol.

Strange question I know,

but how do you know it is the front 2 not firing?

Are you confidant that the timing is good also by the way?

well havent even set the timing yet,but while engine running if i remove the coilpack connectors one at a time the engine note changes, but not on the front 2 cylinders, even tried swapping the coilpack plugs over and still no joy. gonna start back at square one tomorrow and look at it all logically and check all wiring again

id have kicked myself about the injectors big time

Fair comment,

Not wishing to labour the fuelling issue, but may be worth whipping the front 2 plugs out and adding a dash of fuel and start her up. I know the difference, if any, will not last long but may help to eliminate it being fuel related.

cheers chap ill try that, gonna go back to basicstomorrow and start again, check all wiring and resolder all the new plugs again and just double check everything.

Was not impressed with injectors but was more happy zed was going again lol,

 

Dont know about zeds never tried it but only put tiny bit of fuel in as some engines may try to lock up piston comig up valves shut no where for fuel to go but get compressed,

 

Would defo check cambelt,

 

When i put my engine in, the big pipes from the turbo to the front of car, the ones that are underneath the 4 pipes on top,

 

one of these was not in place properly and it sounded like a misfire or down on couple of cylinders was looking at all the injector plugs and coil packs,

 

couldnt find nothing wrong with injectors or coils found pipe off put it back on and it run fine,

 

Gonna see if i can borrow some money off my nan till end of month, if she says yes and you want i will come down,

 

Could do with a day out messing with a zed, had enough of mine its boring me lol.

Interested in what the problem might be. Hope you get it sorted mate.

To check the injectors in situ,take the spark plugs out on the offending cylinders,hook up a 9v battery to the injector,you,ll see the fuel spraying into the cylinder,dont use a candle to see though Lol.

Turns out the only problem with the car was its asshole owner putting the wrong coilpack and injector plugs to the fron 2 cyclinders, what a **** lol
