Boost Controller / Jets question

When you fit a boost controller you disconnect the stock boost solenoids allowing the controller to dump the pressure.

This disables safety boost control by the ECU.

If you are running with boost jets the stock solenoids are still connected and allow the ECU to put the car in safety mode if detonation etc are detected?

Is this correct?

Featured Replies

yes, this is correct.

with a boostcontroller the ECU can't 'adjust' the boost anymore.

It can still retard the timing though (this is also a part of safetyboost), so the car will have less power then normal.

with boostjets everything stays the same...only the regular boost will be higher.
