Hi Everyone!

I have been a member on IMOC (Mr2 club) for a few years now, but i am missing having rear seats! I was VERY close to getting my hands on a 91' NA Z a few months back but, due to now having to save for a mortgage deposit, my plans arre on hold (damn!).

I joined up on here a while ago to see what the socre was with the Z32 before i took the plunge (as i have always been a fan of them just, due to my age, couldn't afford the insurance premiums!) and i have been massively impressed with some of the cars i have seen on here! I can't wait!

I will probably look for a NA LWB Z' as i will use it as my daily driver (i only have to travel pretty short distances to work so it won't be getting used and abused) and i don't fancy the fuel bills of the TT (as much as i love the boost!) something tells me i should get an auto, as it makes more sense for a car which i will be using for long cruises at weekends(and i like the cruise control buttons on the wheel! sad i know!), rather than a manual box to hammer the b-roads in, like in my MR2. Any opinions on this would be cool though!

I look forward to EVENTUALLY being able to post up a few pics of my Z, but until then i will have to wait it out

Welcome to the club.

I prefer a manual to drive in all situations, but try both and decide after.

Manuals have cruise control (with the buttons on steering wheel) too.

erm..ofcourse........re-read his post....he said he wants an auto becuase it has cruise with buttons on wheel......I was telling him that Manuals have the same ;)

i did read his post, i take it you didn't take notice of my use of smileys, implying that the way you said it sounded like you thought only the manuals were like that.

i know you already know thats why i was making a joke out of it, has everyone just got a sudden loss of their funny bones or something?

Oh and welcome to the club (not you yowser)

Hi Lemony, welcome to the club, very shiny mr2, she looks nice, but get rid and buy a 300zx before they rocket up in price :) good luck in your search

Very warm welcome to the club matey :thumbup1: The zed really is a lovely car..... so hurry up and buy yourself a nice one so the mrs can have her MR2 back!

Only messing, enjoy the club bud

Welcome mate, i was extremely close to getting red of my manual TT for an MR2 identical to that, as i want a bike aswell. the thought is still lingering.

I dont think the MPG difference is that big at all between tt and n/a. but if your thinking about mpg and buying one of these mpg is definatly not a good point in any situation.

Welcome anyway and good luck in your search for your fairlady :)

Haha, i'm not TOO bothered about the fact that it will drink petrol, the MR2 isn't brilliant (and i know it won't give me the epic MPG of a modern car!), just i have heard a TT is about 14MPG combined! I think i would bankrupt myself on the V-power on that!

i get around 20mpg. But i dont drive it like a lunatic.

Are you getting rid of your mr2 then? if so could you send me some details please as im interested, as its a very nice mr2. especially as i was going to trade my TT for an mr2.

Most seemt to avergage anything from 18-23 is about normal avg for a TT. 20-25 for the NA.

Both will do 30+ on a long motorway run. The TT is a better cruiser with its Longer gearing, and you tend to be off-boost at a constant motorway cruising speed.

Both will do single figures if your having too much fun.
