are you going to put the tape on the inside or the outside?

as far as I'm aware you can get the tape from almost any car spares shop but you need it thin...

I wasn't happy with the look of the tape on the inside of the lens, paint is a much better option but takes a lot more time and effort.

I'm not exactly sure that trying to copy the 99 spec all the way is worth it... in the end they still won't be 99 spec and could just look nasty (not saying that you'll do a bad job).

why not try and make them unique?

I used Nobo grid tape on the inside of the lenses, have a look at the thread i did, been on there 2 years now, still like the day i did them.

Plus the benefit of being on the inside, that when you wash the car over time they fall off.

Nice!!!! :)

good idea going on the inside... the tape i used (PIN STRIPE COACHLINE TAPE) still had bubbles under it and I couldn't get them out no matter what i did so I gave up.

I guess i was being a bit picky but i wanted a really nice job.

Thanks vince. I'll try and see if I can measure the ones I have to see what they are. I doubt I'd see the difference in 1.5 and 2mm
