Some of you replied to my earlier post about the lack of rear fog lights on Jap Z's.

I'm now thinking about getting some of the brake lamps re wired. Has anyone done this themselves?

Any info would be much appreciated!

cheers,

Ben.

Hi there, using two of the four brake lights is the best way to have fog lights fitted I did it to my import TT 3 years ago no prob and mot ok have yet to do it to my new TT but if you want a wiring diagram and or instructions mail me Jeff TT

Another alternative to consider is the way the importing garage did my car: the two RHS reversing lights act as the fogs; same clear lenses, just different bulbs, so they look normal when off.

Only downside to that idea is if you like balance, like me, actually =) I'm thinking of moving one of the fogs to the reversing light on the other side.

Hi I wired up 2 of my brake lights as fog light on my last TT I am doing it to my new TT at the weekend it is fairly easy and by using a relay you can switch between normal 4 brake lights or 2 brake lights and 2 fog lamps I also connect up the fog light indicater on the Uk spec dash boards I fit that way its fully Mot compliant. If u want I will post the wiring diagram and parts required cheers Jeff TT
