Quick question,

How much has the import charges roughly been when buying stuff from Z1?

I'm buying some GT525 tubs soon and need a rough total price. It's going up constantly as I don't have any tubs to send them as core replacements.

Cheerz guys, Rob

Its a percentage of what the item is worth, so the higher the cost the higher the dutys :(

Ah so its anybodys guess then! Will have to have a chat with the American lads here as I might get away with it then.

Budget for 25% (Import duty, VAT and Admin fee's) on top of total price inc shipping cost.

Will the forces not let you borrow the chopper for a day or two?? my old work would always let me use there van at a weekend :lol:

find out if they will mark it replacement parts then you dont pay duty, worked for me!!

Or just go to CZP and Cos will be able to help you out :) they should have what your after and cheaper too

Just bear in mind that in the event of loss or damage in transit the Courier Insurance payout will depend on the declared value of the goods.

Cheers for the info. Had a quick look, whats peoples opinions on these? Will they give me the same performance and reliability as brand spankers items?

The jwt sport 500 is a great turbo and capable of maxin out the fuelling capacities of stock injectors.the gt525,s are a bit more laggy as its impeller is much larger, but it will give you a bigger kick in the arse higher up the rev range.ive just imported $5500 of z1 parts and the import charges were £370.so your tubs will cost around £180 ish id expect.

I got Z1 GT525 tubs on my zed, and they do kick ur ass into the seat!!!

Alz.

Bear in mind that Z1 sells turbo 'kits'. Overall they are great value.

I have ordered squillions of things from Z1 and been hit for import duty every time. Pretty sure it is 20%. I would say it was a bit risky ordering something of this value and labelling it as a gift.

I had a similar dilemma with turbos. There is simply no cheap option i'm afraid. Also consider fitting costs, downpipes, uprated intercoolers, remap, bigger injectors etc etc etc

I'm not after cheap, just value for money. Final cost is important as this is a second car and I'm not prepared to potentially waste money if there is a better value alternative.

I'm lucky I have a number of other uprated parts needed to do the job properly.

Either way you look at it the outlay is near the 1500 quid mark before you go near the car with a spanner. Thats a lot of money for a car that only cost 2200 quid.
