Brake disks and pads

Can anyone tell me a good quality disk and pads which are easily avaliable at a reasonable price EG disks under a £100 each and i would prefer ones that actually stop me not like the ones that i have at the moment.

I fitted the standard size 3G brakes grooved discs at around £85 each inc delivery. Pads were Mintex ones. Car will now stand on its nose. However I also invested in a caliper seal set and freed off the stuck pistons.

The guys here with big brake sets must have incredible brakes cos mine now throw anything loose in the car against the windscreen with the slightest touch.

Incidentally, Nissan wanted around £100 plus VAT for stock discs.

Thanx willy but im still not sure about the make of discs e.g ferrodo or mintex etc. Could you elighten me please?

I am currently having to replace my calipers, so I'm getting the 3g 20 groove disks fitted too, I'll let you know how it stops afer that.

3G brakes, speak to KEVIN

Thye are Brembo cast discs, very high quality.

Pads they do a variation of redstuff, greenstuff pads ect.

Very good product

i'm in the same boat as dave brundle,3g?who

makes them or is that the manufacturers name?

any company contact numbers/dealers?

They use Brembo castings and I think machine them themselves in house. When I ordered mine they said they would come thursday and they did.

Also I was worried there would be loads of dust with the grooves but the Mintex pads seem to be pretty good in that respect.

Pleased to bits with mine so far. Bedded them in for a couple of hundred too. Of course not tried any track stuff so cant say how they cope with that.
