Zed OEM turbo's are TB22 mate.

No idea if T25 internal parts are the same.

The TB22 is from the T25 family of turbo's so to speak, they ain't identicle and am sure share many parts.

The TB22 is no longer supplied as far as i know, so a straight forward standard T25 is the replacement.

thanks guys would that mean a rebuild kit for a t25 would do the job in a tb22? and if i was to get two t28 turbos are these a direct replacment and a slight upgrade?

still not sure which road to go down with turbos! im not looking to change injectors etc..

probally be a good route to upgrade them if your engine will cope, easier tyo do them now while your there then later and have to take it all apart again.

If your considering gt28s might I suggest you consider the gt28rs turbos, roller bearing and spool up very well compared to standard gt28. My silvia had one on and made healthy 330bhp.

Spec did include power fc, FMIC, nismo 555 injectors and z32 maf though..... I'm not sure what z32 injectors are as standard though so they may be your limiting factor with turbo choice :)

my limiting factor is budget! i have a far amount of work i need to do to the car plus i have a house to pay for on me tod so money is a little tight. I was thinking i could get me standard turbos reconditioned for about £70 - £100 per turbo as ill do the work myself and just get them balanced or i was thinking if i bought 2 t28's that need reconditioning then the only extra cost ill have is the price of 2 t28's turbo that need recondition which should be cheap enough but im unsure how much better the t28 are over standard.

Im also looking to do FMIC, greddy EBC, pos the head gasket if compression test is no good and pos a chipped ecu.

have a look at the side mount intercoolers from zed1 that where recently discussed on here arc i think where the brand, they where around £400. less than half the price of its copetitors and good quality. if you go for a fmic the cheap ones are very much that and offer little gain on stock, im sure jimmer reveiwed these. also bear in mind that the thing is in the way of your radiator and induction, causing those in turn to recieve less cool air. nissan designed these cars with smic's for a reason. i know its not ideal but if your on a budjet mate it may pay dividens to put the zed aside over winter do what needs to be done over tghe corse of winter save some cash and spread the outlay. you wont wanna drive it much come january febuary. driving a zed in shite weather isnt fun. poor headlights wide tires and slippery salty yuck potholey roads dont agree with our pedigree mistresses. (as i side note im sure you alreday know, its just the way its written. there is no point in the ebc without the chip, the chip is required to enrich the feul map when increasing boost, failure to match the feul curve with the boost will result in running lean, and that in turn will melt pistons etc, but im sure you know that already, just thought id say just incase.)

Thats great thanks. Im planning on doing the work over next 6 to 8 months and trying to spread the cost as much as pos! I have just put my name down for a greddy ecu and i have a rolling road close to me which im planning on using when everything is back together and get it set up tidy. If i go for t28's will i need bigger injectors?
