Why do people think its ok to have a pop at people online?

Is it because its easy to fire the bullets across cyberspace?

Suspect some people wouldn't have the bolleaux to say the same stuff in person!

RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR! No need!

Seriously, just no need. Suspect they would not just come over to you in a pub and say the same....

just makes me laugh when they see you getting on and fixing your own car, can get on line anytime during the day because your not afraid to use technology and think they can put 2 and 2 together and come up with 23?

Really? I'm still a newbie really, only been on here a year, so don't know a lot of history, just was shocked to see an unprovoked attack on someone I consider to be a decent bloke!

Really no need for it!

and rightly so, absolutely no need for personal attack's like this

Looks like it was totally unprovoked and uncalled for!! Swift decisive action taken! London plod take notice! :)

maybe he wanted to go looting and had a flat battery on his mobility scooter

I got here too late and stuff was deleted.

I guess he's had a pop at Ian and Jeff?

Not wanted to question the mods, but why a 7 day ban? If he made comments after he was asked not to, why not a total ban? Just my thoughts.

Was it a 7 day ban? How do you know?

See Vodkashots post about what he's been up to, this will enlighten you!

I know what you mean Jane - it's just the internet. I remember someone posting these words on here a long time ago.....

Jim - that's a valid question mate. Put simply, this was one event in which a member personally attacked a moderator in the open forums. We have a kind of "system" whereby we issue infractions (a bit like yellow cards) and short term bans depending on the severity of the "offence" in question.

Any total ban (except for spam-bots) needs the comittee's majority vote; total bans are only handed out in extreme circumstances when that member has already received warnings, infractions and short-term bans in the past - yet they still persist in their inflamatory behaviour.

That's the basic explanation - hope it helps....

Guess I'm just old fashioned but my dad used to say if you ain't got anything nice to say then say nothing!FunkySi got banned not long after I joined, since then this place has been pretty chilled, so it just just a bit of a shock in the middle of an interesting thread, to see uncalled for abuse. Hope it doesn't happen again, I shall be VERY wary of this person in future

keyboard cowboys thats what it is, easy to hide behind a monitor.

Keyboard ninja.... and alas, Ian you know full well that there is no way i could hide behind a monitor..... even if i wanted to. (insert fat smiley here!)

Has anyone ever been banned for life then?

Several members, this question gets asked periodically!

Im a big lad, even in front of a computer screen!!!!

What is going at the moment??? I decide to watch my first ever episode of CSI Miami after working very hard all day with Vods, get on the site and it's all kicked off for no apparent reason.

Your right Jane, why come on line just to have a go at people? Bloody Internet hard is what I call it.

The club is a place for help advice and a bit of banter amongst like minded lads and lasses who all have a passion for a the zed. Let's keep it that way, life's to short for shite.
