Check the ECU for errors bud it should tell you what is wrong with it - there is a guide to checking it using on here somewhere I'll try to find it.

thats what im going to try to do in a bit if i can get out from work and give it a quick try

i do hope its nothing serious at all !!

Yep you've developed a fault which has put things in safety mode.

Usual suspects are the Maf, Temp sensor, ECU or chip.

Diagnostic will show yer the way.

Oh and you had a desoldered stock nissan chip?

Smithy

Mmm..the only way the engine check light can be on at the same time the electric fan running is a corrupted eprom, this can also be due to a bad connection or short at the solder point or pins, the fact you have swapped the chip out confirms the diagnosis.

gents yes your right i do have a solderd nissan chip into a carrier, it was running ok for about a week and just today has given up, its running very very rich thats what the smoke is, and the fan is on constantly

i tried to do an ecu diag but the screw is split so cant turn it, is it ok to drive the car home about 5 miles, i have a conzult there i can plug into or even replace the jwt chip

It will run like a bag of shite, not known anyone to drive with a knackerd chip, generally it over fuels things.

I know i would lol
