Hi Guys,

Quick Question, I need to replace my revolution sensor is there a easy way to replace it..

Regards,

Matt

The revolution sensor is fitted on the outside of the autobox on the front section on the passenger side, the exhaust can be troublesome to get past but depends upon what system you have fitted, replacement sensors come with a long loom to splice into the original autobox cables, not a common issue to be honest have you done a diagnostic and this shows open circuit? could be a cable issue.

Hi Jeff,

I've ran a diag on the gearbox as I am getting lumpy gear changes sometime from 1st to 2nd and overdrive sometimes not working, and it comes back with a fault on the revolution sensor..

I have found where the revolution sensor is on the gearbox and have a spare sensor with loom thanks to Stuart..

From having a quick look last night it looks like to get the sensor out, you have to drop the gearbox a little as there is not enough room at the side of the gearbox to get it out??

Also do you know were the cables run to?? Is it the connectors next to the HICAS unit??

Regards,

Matt

hi if im right they go up by the turbo drivers side past the heat shield, and attach to the loom on the drivers side strut, i think, they are just behind the hicas module.. i hope that helps,, been a while lol

hi mate gearbox loom connectors are between drivers side head light and hicas area.

and if i remember right part of it attaches to alternator loom.
