In laymans terms..... With an old turbo charged car there are many factors that can go wrong/worry about, but an old N/A car there is alot less to go wrong/worry about.

For me............ It has to be turbo charged, you cannot beat the boost :)

Depends on what you are hoping from the Car - in terms of performance, tuneablity, reliablity, cost ...etc

My view for what it's worth.......

....all types of 300zx are good as it's a great car. However, I think that the car should live up to the expectations it portrays with its looks - so to justify the 300zx's appearance, for me it has to be the twin turbo.

Buy one that has been well looked after; and ensure it is properly maintained during your ownership and it's less likely to give you trouble.

But remember, most 300zxs are approaching, if not already, 20 years old. So in "junior supercar" league terms any variant could well be facing extensive and expensive repair time! Buy wisely - look for a car that has already had the major components replaced. Or one that is truly original with low miles and authentic history to back it up (rare as hen's teeth nowadays; but there are still some out there!).

Good luck in your search - and you've found the right place for all the Z32 advice you'll eveer need!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Ive had a TT auto jap, but still have a UK TT Manual. By far the better of the two. I have driven a mates ( and member on here ) na, but the TT wins it for me.

Yep a bit more to maintain, but for the smile factor worth every penny. get one that has been well looked after and maintained regularly.

Manual for driving fun, but whack some turbo s on it, it will make you smile each time you use it.

But i am biased..........

Buy a TT, if you buy an NA you'll always think you should have bought the Tt

What do you want to spend?!

As for a turbo, the performance is just fantastic, I personally couldnt help feeling that if I bought an NA id be thinking, if only it was a TT...

The N/A is the sensible man's choice. The TT is one for the true enthusiasts. Infact, in many ways the TT is much like a high class escort girl: she'll blow your mind and give you an experience you'll never forget - then she'll take all your cash!

Test drive as many variants as you can. Apparently the SWB Slickie is the ultimate driver's car - I wouldn't know, I only own the 'estate' version! But it doesn't disappoint. And.. when the mood takes you, you can whip out the roof and go for a blast; even though it comes at the cost of ultimate handling ability etc, I'd still go for a targa - but then I would say that.

Take your time and find the right car.

I've had both (well, in 2+2 anyway). If I didn't have to commute in London everyday, I'd still be in the turbo. But an NA is a sweet every day car and there really is less to go wrong. And, tbh, it can go just as expensively wrong without turbos. But then again 24/25mpg as opposed to 20 ....

I have an N/A lwb and still has a grin factor and as mentioned slightly cheaper to run everyday, but i would still like a TT for the extra grin factor st weekends and keep my N/A as my daily drive.

I went for the N/A as it's my daily driver and I need reliability. I'f you look on all the forums for turbo'd cars, here, supra forums etc every other post is for faulty turbos. If you want a project car then maybe the turbo version is for you.
