Unusual bodykit zed and clutch issue

The zed with the unusual bodykit that was mentioned a few days ago has revealed its clutch horror story today and I thought I would share it.

 

We knew it was never going to be pretty, the complete lack of any drive and the pungent smell from the bellhousing area served only to persuade us to not mess about and just pull the box.

 

The pictures reveal all, with most of the plate lining material deposited around the bellhousing and the cover plate fingers, but the sight of a naked drive plate was enough to make this a serious Kodak moment, enjoy....

    Power a little more than standard, should be well in the comfort zone of that clutch really.

    Surprisingly not that bad, did need some cleaning up but all in all quite useable...weird I know?

    Ive seen loads of clutches toasted like that in lorries cars and vans,its just hard to believe somebody would drive a vehicle till it lost drive and left the clutch in that state :asshole:

    my mates bmw was like that there where snapped fingers and chunks hanging out bearings rolling about. told him he shouldnt drift his 318 in the dry!
