p/s fluid & oil pressure switch

hello, my power steering is fine most of the time but sometimes it gets heavy and eratic,a local garage (exoticar) said it maybe the power steering fluid that has degraded and needs flushing,does anyone know what fluid to use and how much, also oil pressure guage is not working, got new switch but can't locate it. the car is a 90 jap model, p.s is there any where you can get bonnet Z badges without paying mr mandella's prices.cheers.

You need to use auto tranny fluid Dexron type 3 for your PS. Not PS fluid. It's difficult to drain the system. I simply drained out the reservoir, refilled with new oil, drove the car a bit and repeated again and again... Eventually the old oil will be almost replaced by new. Also check your oil lines as they may need tightening on the jubilee clips.

 

Oil pressure sender is down near the oil filter. There is a how-to on Twinturbo.net
