Hi lads,

I got my hands on a used pair of the decat pipes/elbows that Japspeed do.

My car was an auto originally, but is now a manual.

Was trying to get some new gaskets before getting it fitted and was told this kit will not fit an auto.

Does anyone know why it wouldn't fit an auto?

And as my car is converted to a manual is it ok now?

I wasn't sure if it was to do with the positioning of the gearbox or something else enitrely that stops these going onto an auto, but if anyone can offer any insight that would be great.

Cheers,

Daz.

It's to do with the gearbox, just tell them to give you the gaskets and to stop pretending they know what they're on about, parts people! lol

Nah if they didn't realise yours is no longer an auto, or if they genuinely don't know why but have a warning on their screen that says manual only etc. then that'll be why, the auto gearbox is slightly larger than the manual and the decats have to be slightly adapted to fit.

i can tell you now this kit fits an AUTO as thats whats currently on mine, i have the divorced waist gates coupled to the japspeed decat, and it goes around the gear box fine.

though it does seem hit and miss. you should of held out for mine matey when i finally get it off the car lol

PS, you should have no problem getting it on the car now its manual.

Hollow, its to do with the oil pan on the bottom, the gearbox its self is the same size.
