I have put in 0.5mm/hg into the unit convertor and it returns 0.00965psi.

 

My car runs at max boost 0.5mm/hg on my GReddy boost gauge which I have no reason to doubt

 

This sound right for a stock boost zed?

but the strange thing is the bottom part of the gauge reads in mm/hg upto 0, then the top part reads in kg/cm2 - which reads 0.5 kg/cm2 as 7psi which is safety boost.

I really, really wish I could get to the bottom of this.. the stock gauge at max reads on the second to last line.

the vacuum is reading in mm/hg, and the boost is reading in kg/cm2(bar). thats quite standard on a lot of gauges, and is the same on my avcr too... there must be some reason why manufacturers do that ?

 

so if you are maxing at 0.5 bar (7.? psi) then yeah, safety boost.
