Hi guys,

Very quick one need to buy a new battery for the car, what is the correct size?

I think its an "068" size but I'm not sure, is that correct?

hmm, local motor factor disagreed and said a 71... which I now have and I have a problem with the length of the wires. Looks like i'll be taking a trip back, as a close look at a picture of an 068 shows that I wouldnt have this problem of trying to move an earth!

071 is incorrect. Terminals the wrong way around. Take it back.

068 is the correct fitment, and I believe this may have now been superceeded, but unsure of new code.

As I've said before - All the listings the 300zx in Battery supplier listings are all incorrect, I believe they show Z31 data instead.

Mines running a Fiesta battery 046, just gives it a bit more grunt on startup.

046 is not a valid code. Fiesta batteries are WAAYY lower cold cranking amps and capacity (a lot less grunt).

Unless you mean a diesel battery. Diesel batteries run higher CCA and Capacity.

I would like one of these, but seeing as its nearly a 300 mile round trip, it would cost £50 in diesel just to get it and annoyingly I dont have any jobs down that way for a while.

Cheers mate Yeah I think I will, as usual nothing is ever simple. I did think it was wrong but I didnt have the car with me to check (obviously as it has a flat battery). Your probably right about the z31 data, although his book listed both the Z31 and Z32

i got mine on trade from halford, one of the advanced jobbies (calcium and not lead) with a 4 year guarantee. cost £60

I just measured mine and got one the same size, it actually was a far higher spec too. just make sure the possy is on the back left and neggy on the back right and your on to a winner! as long as it goes in the battery tray then happy days!
