You need the manual pilot bush, so need to remove the bushing from the auto engine. I have a manual bush if you want it, my engine thats going into my car was already from a manual and has it in place.

i think i have a manual bush somewhere so best method of getting the auto bush out? I have my grinder ready to go :)

Pack the rear of the hole with grease and use a dowel or drift and give it a bang, the force of the grease is supposed to help push the bush out, but last resort chisel lol

I removed mine with a small slide hammer with a 90 degree flat hook and came out easy.you can tap them out but i wouldnt recommend that...Lee

JamieTT came to mine with a hammer and chisel, walloped it once and it rolled from under the car to my feet.

Ok slide hammer is not happening as can't get told of one small enough so hammer and chisel way is next is it just a case of hit the end and it should just come out?

you need to hit it inside edge of the spigot at an upwards angle and hit it hard.

might take 2 or 3 hits. but one good one is usually enough. make sure your using a heavy hammer and don't damage the crank you don't want it to hit that.
