Changed my dodgy o2 sensor today and it's now working as expected, but now the bleeding right hand one is not working :headvswal. Was before, I changed the l/h one.

I've saved a log file in conzult that shows idle's then is taken upto 2000rpm+ then back to idle again. If I email the log file, can somebody run it through the conzult analyzer and let me know if it's looking alright and If I now need to change the right hand o2.

The car setup is currently; Standard non-chipped ECU, Decats, Apexi Filter, Blitz SBC set on 9psi.

Cheers

Steams

No mate, it's reading a voltage but not pulsing above 2000rpm anymore, can't figure it out myself.

Here's a snaphot of it at 2150rpm; The l/h o2 is at the top of the pulse, the right isn't moving.

that does seam very strange. I assume the engine was up to operating temps?

Temp was at 60deg at time, but it doesn't make any difference if it's at 80deg either.

Here's a pic of it at idle

The voltage on the left o2 seems high, but it's not pulsing.

the reason I asked that is cos I thought O2 sensors work when the exhaust gas temps are hot. The new left one you've put in would be more sensitive

fro Conzult manual:

O2 SENS-LEFT &

O2 SENS-RIGHT

0.0 - 0.30 > 0.60 - 1.00 volt

Note: With no load at 2000rpm in neutral the value should cycle

from lean to rich approximately 5 times in ten seconds (at a

random interval). On a warm car (80’ C), the O2 sensor should

move around when the throttle is “blipped”, if the value

remains latched then the O2 sensor has lost sensitivity. If the

voltage is fixed in the range of 0.30 to 0.33 then the O2 sensor

has lost all sensitivity and it should be replaced. This value is

the same as received by the ECU if the sensor was

disconnected at the wiring loom plug

Think you may need the car hotter. I'd take it for a good drive then check it.

No mate the only code I'm getting is 55.

Car is off the road at the mo' being rebuilt, so can't drive it on the road yet.

The figures for the other sensors seem to be OK.

I'll have another read of the manual. But I may as well replace the right hand o2 as well.

Thanks for the help dude

really think it's cos it's not up to operating temps and may not need replacing...........

I'll try it again tomorrow, weather permitting lol.

if its decatted surely it doesnt matter if there not working as they are there to protect the cats and you dont have any so they are obsolite surely

No mate, the ECU makes it's adjustments to fuel and timing etc from a variety of sensors, the o2 sensors are very important to this process.

EDIT: Think your mistaking the lambda (o2) sensors for the Cat temp ones found on JDM's

Edited by Steams

pretty certain O2's tell the ECU to adjust the fuel mixture, hence they read between lean and rich
