I have a greddy system in my TT, it was there when I brought the car some 4 years ago and I have never understood it, however having had a health check done on the turbos and the car, the performance is being governed by this system.

I am running standard turbos (I think) on 555 injectors because apparently the engine was re-built to a higher spec. (Please dont ask me to what as I have no paperwork on it at all)...long story.

Can anyone help me with what I can start with on the settings, like a base setting I suppose please?

Thanks everyone.

I've had one of these for 5 years or so and they're a sexy bit of kit. I suppose the first thing to be aware of and I'm sure you are is that you can quite easily damage your engine if the settings are incorrect. Saying that, if you are patient and experiment carefully then you should be able to squeeze more out of your turbos.

Assuming a well running and well maintained engine, then you should be able to hit say 15 or 16psi with those injectors on stock turbos. I take it your intercoolers and radiator are stock?

Have you checked for boost leaks, as this will lower your performance and hinder your ability to tune the controller properly?

Base (safeish) settings I would try would be:

SET 60

GAIN 10

START 11

When I was setting mine up, I would only apply wide open throttle in a high gear (4th or 5th) until I was happy with the maximum boost I was running. Then, with a low GAIN like 9 or 10 I would try flooring it in lower and lower gears until I was happy that it wouldn't overboost too much in 1st. Then I would up the GAIN carefully, (1 each time) until the boost came on as fast as possible, without spiking dangerously.

Do a search for E-01 as there are several similar threads to this one. What are your settings at the moment?

One thing I'd recommend is setting the warning limit so say 16/17PSI? So it doesn't overboost and blow hoses off as I did with mines, oh yea and NEVER hit the initiate function as I found out it resets it to factory settings lol -_-

I know it has an AUTO function that you can set your desired boost level and take it out a run and let it set everything up itself but sadly it doesn't work on all cars e.g. mines :(

Oh also incase your like me and have the original manual but it's in Japanese here is the link to the english one - http://www.greddy.com/upload/file/PRofec_e-01.pdf

Thank you very much for that, if you have the time on the phone would you have a chat, you obviously know this system well. In the mean time I will take a look at waht is set in the system. Thanks again for your advice.

Thanks again, I actually have that manualy, as you say original impossible to read.

BAz hope you get it sorted mate, its not something i can help you with,

but mine is still quicker than yours, or i must clearly be a far superior driver to you.

Just messing mate, are you coming over the weekend.

I'm quite happy to help but I'm far from an expert with this system, the only screens I've used are the boost settings and the different displays (someone else installed the system and performed the initial setup). I leave the other menus well alone!
