hiya all just gotta say i got done over by ztech last year with an engine build cost me over £5000 and went bang after 700 miles. driveing like a sissy to run it in and he vanished . Warning to you all stay away from chris scaraff.

zedworld put me on to jimmer to get it rebuilt again an all is well he had it sorted in 3 weeks now its grate. so jimmer is highly recommended by me nice bloke well priced.

Cant agree more with you mate. Thats why i take the 1200mile round trip to get any work done on my engine.

There has been a few problems with ztech, but as you say Jimmer is THE man when it comes to engine builds and wearing drag..

You are not the first to get robbed by them but I dont think they will be doing any more buisnes :no:

i know exactly what you mean mate i got stung for over 3 grand for work that was never done plus i have to pay for new wheels and tyres and bodywork that was damged during a Brake in ....and replace loads of missing stuff from a car that was perfect when it went in for an engine upgrade...not with ztech but another trader that has stopped trading now thankfully

That's a few times I've heard about this z tech place where are they based? Also heard dodgy stuff about south west zeds and thor racing too so that's other places I would avoid

If anybody is buying anything from anywhere (not just on here), it is well worth the money and time doing a bit of research, for example, if "ztech" was to be ran through the search box, there are plenty of threads, most with a horror story attached. Similarly "MJP" , "Jeff", "zedworld" and "jimmer" loads of positive hits.

 

Most endorsements will be by consensus, and decent traders will get a good reputation that sticks.

 

Well done for naming and shaming. I know the club as an entity needs to be cautious about what gets said, but its good to see info getting out to help stop others getting stung.

 

Have you been on to trading standards out of interest? I would.

Ah the guy from south west zeds is called paul does trading on eBay now under the name locking garage services or something similar think you have the same got.

I have had my run ins with Chris..I went to see him over 18 months ago..for a possible gearbox. Him and his little friend were telling me they were building a zed engine for a zed member..and were completely drunk!!
