Burning Smell and Smoke

Hi,

Recently whenever i boost there seems be a nasty smell that comes into the cabin, anyone know what it might be? It smells like burning rubber or something. Also i boosted it from 0-130 (private road) my whole cabin started to fill up with smoke.

Anyone got any ideas what might be causing it???

No smoke from the exhausts or anything!

Cheers!

probally oil blowing out the rocker covers on boost where the valve covers become positive pressure. buy a fire extungiser just incase, run your engine up to temp the blip the throttle on the cam cover, looking to the ear of the block you will probally see small plumes of smoke coming up. you may even see oil droplets forming under the car. its not uncommon it is highly annoying though. and in extreme circumstances dangerous. def needs investigation though.

If your doing plenum removal, you may as well do a water by pass while your there, then you dont have to worry about putting so many awkward to get to pipes back together

lol... yeah, get someone else to do it... :)

might be a good idea to get someone to confirm that that is where it's coming from....

car up on a hoist and a torch so do the trick...

that way you could confirm it isn't a turbo oil feed ...
