i have just installed my new light panel with the 3rd brake light, wired into the brake light loom up the quarter panel back down through the boot lid into the panel, at first it worked fine, but soon after all brake lights failed and has caused the battery to flatten, i have since just cut the feed cable and now it is fine with just my two light clusters workin as normal, whats happening to my 3rd brake light guys? Cheers

May be you have a short somewhere !

well i thought thos but wouldnt a short blow fuse??

Yeh it's should blow a fuse somewhere, how did you wire up the brake light ?

 

Did you put it in series with the other lights or link it in parallel ?

Parallel I think, I just found the earth from the rear light cluster and the live feed to the light cluster, and came off them straight to the 3rd light, (i.e running a live and earth all the way from the back of the light back down the boot lid to the 3rd light with both cables...

I have rewired as before and seems to be ok now :-S, cheers guys
