This is the only problem my friend! No one in the NW ever up for a meet! :)

But everything is always so far away and normally involves camping or summat!! Can't we just find a fairly central pub with a decent car park and meet up for a shandy?!

You wouldnt want to camp at Tan Hill! Monsters would get you in the evening.

 

This was intended as a joint meet to be honest with the NE crew.

 

The other issue with the NW is that its quite a big place and I know its not always easy to get from place to place.

 

However, have you a pub in mind that you would like to meet at? The very first meet I went to was at the Norman Jepson pub, which is next to the premier inn just of J31a at preston (I.e top of the M61)... Where in manchester are you roobarb? Stockport or Salford end?

I'm in north Manchester, Oldham way. Wouldn't recommend any pubs round here!! But the motorway links aren't bad so most places are do-able.

thanks for your help Chris regarding a Tan Hill meet but it appeares its a none starter...so for this reason ime going with the missus and daughter solo and piss on the lot of ya:tongue:

Brian, not sure if you saw my response in the NE Section but Im up for it too. Im just waiting to get my car back which will hopefully be in the next couple of weeks. Maybe arrange it for a week or 2 after ZFest. Would it not be worth asking the 350 boys and girls it they fancy it too?

Chris need to start thinking about a christmas meet soon buddy ....i should be back in my zed this time home after talking to Jeff ......plenty of nice pubs on the A6 near Garstang with big car parks etc and nice twisty roads shame about the speed cameras though ...or perhaps something nearer Kirby Stephen the black Bull just outside kirby stephen on the way to scotch corner is good and has good off road parking ...ifi had my zed back i would have done Tan Hill ...not the same in a Merc ML :(
