No Central Locking

Looks like my central locking has decided to stop working !

When you lock the drivers side door the passenger side doesn't lock.

I've just completed a loom switch for the full front end of inside when i done

my aircon conversion but i've match up what i think are the cables and both

the old and new loom look identical.

Is there any relays anywhere that control the doors?

Check the plug connections from the door to the footwell behind the kick panel passenger side, just above the plastic panel.

yip, did that too.

Mind i did a full loom swap so that i could adapt auto aircon into a series 4,

i've checked the plugs both sides and there a tight connection with no damaged parts.

I might have to take a closer at the two looms again and see if the wires do

fully match; although i cant see why they would change the wiring order.

Right, an update on this !

Took a pic of both loom connections, the one on the left is the original loom and the one on the right is the new loom i've installed !

Spot the differance ??

1 cable in the loom has moved and theres also 2 extra all at the far left side.

Purely on a guessing factor i think the white is the power thats missing stopping my locks working.

As a test i moved the white cable back to the position it was ment to be in on the old loom but no luck.

On the diagram provided by groover there seems to be a anti theft device that i dont have which in the diagram the cables are yellow.

Now believing that the yellow wires act more like relay do you think its safe to connect them both together to override its function.

I haven't done it yet as i don't want any voltage going places it shouldn't be and blowing something more important up.

What you all think ?

Theres no relay in the door that i remember seeing, i had the pass door card off just the other day too, im sure its above the pass kick panel as i suggested to you in an earlier post.

Still totally stuck with this.

I've checked all fuses and everything seems to be ok, it seems my door loom differs to the main dash loom i fitted a few weeks ago hense the fault with the central locking.

there is four cables that goto the door actuator / lock - does anyone know what each cable does ?

I've check the diagram posted by groover but i'm lost to understand it as nothing matches.

The 4 cables are for : feed/live, black is ground and you have 2 neg pulses, one to open and one to lock, the colours are on the diagram.

tried it but the doors still wont lock, although the plug for the actuator is different i cant figure out what goes where colour wise as thats different too.

Also there was an extra long cable with two pins, any ideas where that plugged into ?

A bit difficult without seeing it, but i think the long cable with the 2 pins is for seat belt retraction tention when the belt is/was on the door.

Is there a hidden fuse somewhere that could be blown ?

I've checked all the footwell fuses at the drivers side and double checked the cabling

on both doors but locks still won't lock centrally!

I've tried to trace the two cables on the passengers side which are blue/green and blue to the drivers side but at the drivers side I get no signal to what I think is the other side of

the cables.

I think I need another zed with the same loom to compare against to fix this.

Also the diagram you gave me doesn't match my series of zed as colours in the looms

are different.

Again need help.
