I am looking to make my 240v router tool into a variable speed one. Is there a voltage step reducer that can sort this out ? As to me it is like an oversized Dremal I tried fitting a 1/4 shank polishing wheel in it but as soon as I flicked the switch the torgue was to much and it shattered the arbour shank LOL. A link to one would be most help full Bud.

Many thanks for the info Buddy.A bit pricey and complicated for me lol.Looking for more of a plug mine into turn a knob to adjust speed if you know what I mean.

not a good idea putting anything other than router bits in due to the rpm's they turn at vince...iff your after a small polisher then i have one (bench mounted) with arbour and mop..its only a small one mind but iff your interested i can put a pic up:winkiss:

Thanks for the offer Bud,but I already have an 850 watt bench one.Dremal I have is too small,hence I thought of my router.Way to fast on start up and snapped the wheel arbour like a carrot lol.Have a proper air line in garage but was looking to use something in my in house workshop.
