i have just found in my 90TT auto i have 0.8mm boost jets?, are these safe i also baught a manual controller?, do you think i should use this instead?. does anyone know what boost 0.8mm jets should give? cheers

Apparently 0.8mm jets should give you around 12 psi I think? and I think are relatively safe, less risk of spiking than a manual controller.

Don't use the manual controller, they suck. I had one many moons ago, and although thankfully it never blew my engine up, the stories about spikes were true, used to see them all the time on the gauge.

If your engine and tubs r in good condition, I would say ditch the jets and go for a EBC... electronic boost controller for full safe boosting. Greddy Profec B Spec II is the one to get IMHO matey, east to plumb in with no frills, just all the necessary variants for boosting a 300 needs.

Ive got boost jets in mine, have been in mine since i got it, never had a problem and it pulls like mad. but an ebc is the way to go.

there brill in mine but i find i get a little spiking at 5kish

Agree, I've a Profec B Spec II, and it's main advantage is the hi/lo boost option so you are not always stressing the engine.

manuals are crapo for teh reasons already expressed plus being a twin turbo car youi cant garantee the boost is equal. boost jets are cheap and effective but they can still spike, ebc is teh way if you have the cash. i hope you have a chipped ecu running with those jets.

how do i know if i have a chipped ecu?, i dont know

If you dont have any history of any ECU work you can take the board out the passengers footwell and look at the ecu to see if it has any stickers, labels or writing to suggest any work done.
