WOW @ that thread. It started a long time ago though, I wonder if it was just the type of bushes around in the early 2000's? Does seem logical that a bush with less play would transfer the tension down to the lower arm, and if the lower arm is fabricated, rather than forged, it won't be as strong, and on top of that, if it's a stock lower suspension arm, from factory, it's 20 years old, which means it WILL be weaker anyway.

It's one of the things the concerns me most about our cars tbh, the stock metal parts, including the chassis, MUST be getting softer. We add things like strut braces, coilovers and adjustable, poly bushed, anti-roll bar droplinks (All things I've just added) to stiffen the thing up, and we make them faster and faster, but are we really just hurting it and encouraging the overall body to flex more? I've got brand new sills, because mine had rusted, which probably now means, that part of my car is also now stiffer than most on here, but my chassis legs are obviously still stock, and my A and B pillars etc :S I believe my lower and upper suspension arms are still factory items too. Thoughts on this would be good.

Hmmm, interesting, well in a nut shell when my car hits a bump it sometimes feels like the rear of the car isnt connected to the front, I changed my springs and it improved significantly but still dosnt feel great :-S

That definitely sounds likely after other discussions on here about "Shake dat booty" etc.
