Well i got bored, so put some leds in the map light switch and a little strip to glow through the vent where the little fan would be, except mine has never had the fan so had the space.

Not the best pics, need a better camera lol.

They come on with the side lights.

Then i though i would have a play with led strips and might go with it. I will do the front footwells and it should all tie up nicely with the Stainless EL sills to go in,

Everytime i tell Phutmunch beats me to it  so all will be revealed at JAE

Just a thought, but, what if you were to use a USB lead from the carputer, which will give out 5v and 12v when the carputer is turned on, you could then use the 12v feed as your remote, will come on with the carputer and go off with it too, just a thought mate...

Who's Phutmunch (Footmunch) :confused1:

It's phutumsch - how can anyone get it wrong - foot um sh!!!!

Should change it to Slick or Zedex perhaps to avoid confusion:biggrin:

About the map light area, I did think of that but could not be bothered putting a 'lights on feed there', when it's dark tonight I will sit in the car and look again as I cannot just understand why I gave up so easily

Bet I have less work on than you Graham - I am unemployed!!! Have been since early June, still have some means of income though so it is no great concern and I can watch daytime tele, win win :cool3:

Vods and Groover, you'd have loved Roses Celica by the look of it. Footwells all lit up, full undercar lighting, even in the arches!!!!! Fibreglassed centre console with full amp controls, not just on off, but bass levels the lot! She was at the time, the only person to ever fit EL dials to an ST Gen 6 Celica, because everyone else whimped out when they realised the dials were only made for the GT and the wiring/fitment, etc. were all different on the ST.

I can't frickin wait to see what she does with the Z!

Hi Andy, play on words lol,

I thought you owned your own business, on a good year i would normally work 6-8 days a month now at best its 3-4 at worst 0-1 so although im enjoying the time off, i miss the big bucks lol.

Run a feed across the front of the roof panel, just pull the rubber around the targa drivers side, gets you to the pillar nicely, i used a pull through wire to get past the dash and ran it across to the auto selector illumination and terminated there. I did add a ceramic 3 watt 33ohm resistor to the leds to dim them as they would be too bright in your peripheral vision.

A few days I did mine, red though my choice, a 3 smd strip is located inside just behind the two map switches

Also, in this first pic, I put a strip here as I too have nothing here, this illuminates the two vents nicely

All fitted during the daylight

And at night in this final pic - slicktop mine so I undid the rear view mirror, visor brackets and took off the side door top trim, this allows the headliner to drop a touch and I ran a pull through wire like Graham suggested to get the two feed wires to my A pillar pods where I have lights on supply  Looks perhaps to you like it might be too bright but I assure it is not, just that it is shining straight into the lens
