imports are limited to 113mph i think. You will probably have jap clocks too which only go up to 120mph, again i think.

I think if you swap your clocks for uk ones and you should then be able to reach warp speed......

Anyway are you telling us that you were driving over the designated 70mph speed limit??? Heaven forbid

I am sure someone with far more knowledge than i will be along soon to confirm or correct.

Also depending on model/year. If you fit a UK cluster, that will delete the limiter and convert everything to MPH. Done this a few times on earlier Z's, series 1 and 2.

i was on .... an .. airfield ... :devil2: i do have english clocks to my knowledge, they go up to 160mph?? its just seemed exactly like my work van feels at 70 lol, and that is restricted, it was bang on 120mph on my clocks, i know they can be a little out, but it wouldnt go above, at first i thought it was starving of fuel but that wasnt the case?:helpsmilie:

JDM and UK clocks go up to 180mph. All Japanese cars were limited to 113mph for their domestic market. Don't know if this is still the case.

not 100% sure but I think they may be US clocks.

do the yanks not measure in kph aswell? grr lol ok thanks for that buddy :confused1:

no mate they do it in mph.

Yowser is the expert on this, he'll be able to tell you what they are.

I did this on my 89 import but the limit remained, I think there is a way around it by changing the cruise control ecu or something like that.

What are the ones which go to 120mph?

I'm sure my original clocks went up to 120, and when i changed to a uk cluster your right, it solved the speed limiter issue and i was able to unleash the beast :taz:

so the 160 mph clocks are a mystery and so remains my original limiter issue

They look like N/A clocks? Since there is no boost gauge?

yes mate it is a n/a model so r these the standard uk clocks for n/a models?

Looks like it to me, because yanks don't do ANYTHING in Kph and these have kph on them, the Japs just do Kph and don't do MPH and Yowser would have to tell you the top speed for an N/A cos I aint got a clue.

standard jap import na models have 180 kph clocks as standard like the tt imports but minus a boost gauge obviously, sombody has fitted a dial facia, your car will still be limited unless there is a little black box behind the dash or uk clocks are fitted.
