Didn't see that one - I was quite interested, Marc didn't quite know where to look so I didn't see all of it as of course, he being The Man Of The House, has full remote control rights lol

I think if you eat meat you should know where it comes from, after all they were living breathing creatures before they were killed for our food. Quite glad I don't eat a lot of meat tho, its quite gross!

I'm going to play the carnivorous devils advocate here; but as a child I learnt the basics - like pork from pigs, beef from cows etc.....

......and since I have been of adult years, my view is that so long as the meat is of good quality and flavoursome, then I don't care.

Little lambs and deer et al may be cute running around a field but I'll happily eat them without guilt. Just my opinion maybe - but I don't care to be made to feel guilty just because I might want to eat an animal.

Humans are omnivores; we are biologically configured to consume both animal and vegetable matter to live. We're not supposed to exist as herbivores and it's about time the sandal wearing, lentil eating, minority jumped off of their moral high horse and considered eating it!!

as i said to my mrs the other week when we watched the sheep one, we are predators, and if the world goes to shit, im sure all these veggy eating people will soon learn that to survive, will mean killing something somewhere along the way.

I how ever have no quarrels with it, and i already know where it comes from as i used to work in a food processing plant after id left school (agency work) so seen my fair share of where it comes from.

My only stance on the matter is, if your going to kill it to eat, dont waist it.

Pipe down! :nono: Firstly, I might eat lentils, but I dont wear sandals! Not all veggies are tree huggers. Generally depends on their reasons for not eating meat doesnt it!

Moral High horse?? :confused1: I've found that all i have to do is mention i'm a veggie and people will get upset and start bombarding me with their views on meat eating and vegetarianism.

But in some respects i appreciate that we were probably made to eat both animals and vegetation. However now that we have the option of surviving more than well enough without having to kill animals, then i personally don't see the point.

There are a lot of proteins the body needs that only come from meat though, your basically cutting off what nature intended our bodies to utilize.

But as you said the choice is yours.

Anyway, veggies are the worst offenders, i mean you rip a carrot out of the ground pulling all its arms and legs off, then you skin it alive, cut it up and then boil it. how cruel is that. at least we have the decency to kill our food before we cook and eat it :tt2:

Please don't misunderstand me fella - I fully appreciate and respect other people's views and it's everyone's right to live as they see fit! As I said this is an internet forum, where things can get taken literally; or not in the context of how they were meant. My "extreme" reply was tongue-in cheek.....

......I personally like to eat meat and will not change my ways - it's just that in this country nowadays we are constantly being told what to do by minorities who take offence at anything and everything. So if it's not PC to do or think in a particular way, then there's usually someone (who works for the BBC - LOL) telling us how we should mend our ways.

I can see from your last comment that you are not one of those people so if you have taken offence at my post then I apologize.
