removal of front shocks.

ive done the rears, took about 2 hours odd including stripoping all the boot out, the first side took about twic eas long as teh second side, because i knew the method. but looking at the fronts what? im a little confused, it looks like i can quiote simply undo the strut top and bottom undo the central bolt and lift out sideways. but that seems far too simples. any advise? other thing, how important ar ethe gaskets on the top i dont have new ones to hand atm, and didnt fit any on the rear. (prepared for an asking there.) also how tight should the bolts be done up, ive done the rear up pretty darn tight with a 1" socket and spanner. but they arnt torqued up. i suppose i should add at this pooint teh car is floating off the ground on axle stands, and no wheels

Yep, two bolts at the top on the mount and a big one on the bottom. Undo all three and remove.

The gasket is to stop metal on metal rubbing, I just used a bead of silicon instead.

Top bolts are 31 - 42 nm bottom one is 98 - 118 nm

I used a bead of silicon as well, worked perfectly.

i cant believe its that simple lol. well gotta get the bolts undone yet before i get too ahead of myself here. lol. cheers guys. i removed the rears by, undoing to top mounting bolts unbolting the bolt closest to me on the camber arm and the furtherst away on the toe. then the hicas arm and the lowest bolt on the strut, then levered it back and it dropped out.
