Ok New engine after it blowing up

 

Check all timing and all aligns up

0 on crank and all cam Markers on the back plate align

 

New injectors

New Injector plugs

New Plugs

tryed 2 lots of coil packs

even my old injectors

 

when i can get the engine running its sounds nice ( engine )

no knock/bangs/taps

Oil Pressure is right about middle on ide>2k

 

the engine will not go past 3k as it dies out

 

the miss fire is mainly on the passenger side bank

 

does any one know where the wires normaly brake or

know of a good Loom thay no longer need

I would think so, but couldn't promise owt mate.

 

The one I have on the shelf in the garage says nothing like what yours does and it's half in Japanese because it came out of a JDM Auto from 89.

Could be a longshot, but when was the fuel filter last replaced?

got given two ECU's from Baz

 

the standard one was just like my own didnt work ..

 

but the Standard Tuned one ( for normal injectors )

 

starts my car up and runs but there is still a missfire on Drivers side

that tends to come and go and have had it swop sides so i think its not driving my

bigger injectors right

but hay it will rev all the way and ticks over and my new dump valves sound very nice :)

 

any one got a Chipped ECU that will work with 555 injectors or with chip socket

Someone has a Stage 2 Mines ECU for sale in the appropriate section, that might do it?

Glad you've found the issue mark, good old zedworld eh :thumbup1:

You need to a run a 555 map with those injectors,it will overfuel badly on a stage one 370cc map,the ecu will open the 555,s longer as it will think its running a lower flow rate injector.

Alrite alrite,just saying in case you never know :tt2: cant assume on here .You prolly have some silly fault there,if you can get back to the basics it should help.does sound ecu related.does the fan run constantly?

nope it only comes on when very hot .. like today when i had an air lock or if i unplug the sensor .. engine idles up and fan on .. plug back in and all go's normal .

Cos it's a sign the ECU has a problem.

 

TBH am in no way convinced its owt to do with the ECU if you are running 555cc injectors and have chipped the existing ECU for it.

 

Misfire and on 1 bank is the problem? you've changed various hoses?, added blow off valves?

You've either got a tiny boost leak, fitted a pipe incorrectly, unblanced throttle bodies, 1 bad connection somewhere, TPS setting, you've said plugs fitted? what ones?

 

Oh and if those are your only symptoms, i'd be driving to Jeffs and sort it.

the ECU i have in right now is Not for 555 injectors its just a uprated one for the 370s..

 

as i dont have a working ECU and the chip i have here TDa55 think its fuba due to my original ECU going down i dont want to risk it in another ecu ...

 

So i need another ECU that can be chipped or ready chipped with 555 programing

 

i carnt rule out a boost leak but if thats so it wouldnt make it missfire would it ?

let me understand this, you have fitted in the engine 555cc injectors but running an ecu with a chip for running 370cc ones, albeit upped in performance?

yes in short at the mo the only ECU i have working here is a modifide one for 370's ...

this is why i said in a posts above that i have my engine working now as my old ECU with 555 chip is duff ... and it was that whats been giving me the crap for weeks now as i have replace every thing that would make engine non start and missifing like bang bang pop pop and wouldnt run ...

 

i got given .. two ECU's

Standard one doesnt work full stop just like my own Duff

Modifide one alows the car to start up and rev and does its stuff

just a little hard to start and a missfire that changes from cylinder to cylinder ..

like said think its not driving the injectors correctly

Correct, so STOP!

Do not mess around with it, get the correct ECU and chip sorted at Jeffs before any more playing.

i can get the ECU at jeffs but he doesnt have any 555 chips any more ... unless hes got an ECU floating about thats all ready done ..

 

Will ring him tomorrow as hes back of holidays now

Send yer ECU with new chip in it to Jeffs, he can test to see if ECU okay and if Chip is knackered, which can happen when fitting, yes i know you know electrics, but it can easily happen.

 

Once you know that, you can move forward.

If after fitting a known working ECU with 555 chip and she has issues, then they can be addressed.

dont know yet havent got it

but like in other posts .. yes it looks like it was a duff ecu. as works with a standard modifide ecu to work on 370cc injectors

 

starts the car alowes it to run and rev i even driven the car

but it wasnt right due to it running the wrong injectors so now i have to wait to get new ECU with 555 remap chip
