I would get your zed back on the road and with the extra money saved that you would have spent on buying another car, you can use in fuel lol.

I personally just live with the fuel bills on my Z, we now have two and to be honest, they're not much higher than most cars if you drive them right, yes they are higher, but not THAT much, unless you own a diesel and a modern one at that. I think longer runs is the key, I used to live 2 miles from work, which meant driving through town every day, I used a tank a week, easily, if not more if I went anywhere on the weekend, then we moved 8 miles away from work, with less traffic on the way, and we used the same amount of fuel.

how much is it to fill a tank now if i remeber righly was about £20 a quarter on tt?

that's about accurate, although we picked Roses one up yesterday and it was on fumes, took £89 from memory, that was up in Glasgow, petrol prices the same as here in Doncaster 141.9 /litre.

ah petrol not too bad in derby then i pay 132 at morrisons

thats not premium unleaded though surely. 1.41 sounds more like premium.

i find i get more miles from premium fuel than i do 95ron stuff. may be because the engines are designed to utilise the higher octane more i suppose.

I think my dad just chucked some 95 in the silver one last night and it seems fine - cruised into work today for the first time in it in 3 years and it was heaven :)

I wish i could get petrol for 1.31p! It's about 136 round our way :headvswal

You can't beat it buddy! Don't get rid of the zed, find a cheap run around that's got tax and test on it and run it into the ground for the year.

Im never getting rid of it!, Even mrs agreed i should keep it i baught a cheap run around that little red rover i came to yours in sold that to get a laguna bigger car, lump of junk, So selling that now and as its summer ive got me mot booked for saturday!, back on the road she comes!

I was going to suggest the best way to do it is put the zed on the road for the summer and use that while you sort out a better car to replace the laguna buddy.

There's also that lovely looking mg zr for sale for £1100 in the for sale section that could be a nice little upgrade!
