Hi Guys,

 

fingers crossed my car is nearly ready. I had a stalling issue previously. I had tried a few things myself and failed so it went to the garage. Then found out gearbox was not great auto. So replaced with a reconditioned unit and has plenty of power now. Hopefully I can enjoy her over the weekend.

 

Now to my original question, Are parts available for these vehicles New? Or is it always at the breakers yard and Ebay. Mine is an import. Do america make new parts for these as there car scene is much bigger than ours.

 

I know service parts are available but say you want an Idle control valve... Can you get them new? I don't need them yet.

 

What about a complete wiring loom.

You'd be lucky to find a RHD one, but LHD will fit - you just need to tuck away the extra length of loom it comes with...

 

You'd be surprised how many new parts are still available!

Mike at MJP is aways good source for parts he has a trader on here (screen name MR F) or if you dont mind waitting Z1 or conceptzperformance in america

Mike at MJP knows more about 300ZX parts (and the rest of the Zs as well) than most (all?) Nissan dealers.

 

If he can't help. there are a few well-regarded US 300ZX specialists who can supply loads of stuff. I've used ConceptZ, Courtesy and other members have good stories about others. But be warned, they won't be able to help with many RHD specific bits for obvious reasons!

 

Good rule of thumb, check MJP first.

Nearly all original Nissan parts are still produced and available. I know a few items have been discontinued but where applicable most of these are available as aftermarket pattern options.

you can get a new rhd wireing loom not sure where from mind you but the last time i was at the garage my mechanic was doing a na to tt conversion and was showing me the new wiring loom
