btw let me know if you need a new arm (shameless plug)

common problem too! is a know area to check especially on the uk's .

Umm they maybe polybushed come to think of it. Its not something i have done would this cause extra strain on the arms then?

And yes def in wales  but passanger side lower arm to answer your question

It is a known issue with poly bushes as there is not enough flex on the bush as the wheel moves up & down. This causes the metal to flex & eventually fail.

Rather a nasty failure there!

when my first Z started creaking this is what I found (similar both sides)

Is it worth adding some plates to strengthen the arms? And where can i get standard bushes from?

Nissan dont sell the bushes - you need complete arms however Nismo bushes are available which are uprated but still give movement.

Or rose jointed tension rods to give free radial movement around the pivot while keeping ultra firm laterally!! (which I have ;) )

:smartass:

I had this happen to me a couple of months after fitting poly bushes on my z31, same as you in that the first I knew was when it pulled to one side forcefully when I put the brakes on approaching a red light.

Replaced with standard rubber ones.

I've literally just removed two mint ones from my breaker if you are interested? can get them sent today. Drop me a PM if you want them.
